In the Loop, May 2022

CKC Elects New Directors
CKC elected two new Directors at the Annual Meeting on May 4, 2022.
Please join us in welcoming Carol and Kerry!
Carol Slotkin of New York returns to CKC’s Board after a brief hiatus to assist with communications initiatives, including CKC’s Newsletter.
Kerry Kaleba of Virginia brings arts management experience to CKC to assist in developing public programs and exhibitions.
We look forward to introducing them to you in June’s Newsletter.
Mystery Magazines

Thank you! to all who supported CKC in May by purchasing a Mystery Magazine and making extra donations. You can still purchase a Mystery Magazine here while supplies last!
Oversized sweaters and graphic patterns are back, and CKC’s cache of fun vintage knitting magazines from the 1970s and 1980s will provide you with plenty of nostalgic inspiration.
All remaining magazines will be shipped this week!
CKC Ravelry Group Refreshed
We’re updating CKC’s Ravelry group! Please meet and welcome Sheena Pennell, CKC’s newest Ravelry Group Moderator. Sheena, a CKC Member and volunteer, recently reorganized the group’s discussion threads to encourage conversation, and she has new activities planned for members in the coming months.

Sheena writes: “I enjoyed reactivating CKC’s Ravelry Group during Mystery May. I am a writer and knitwear designer from the Pacific Northwest. I have a background in art conservation with an emphasis on textiles. I served as a living history volunteer for seven years until Covid and a cross country move put an end to that.
I love a good chai latte and have way too many cats. In my free time, I can usually be found researching history and/or trying to find a way to remove all the cat hair from my supposedly clean laundry.
Please join me on Ravelry to share your favorite mysteries, photos of your pets, and, of course, your projects! I look forward to meeting you.”
