Announcing the New CKC Blog

The Center for Crochet and Knitting is pleased to announce the launch of our new blog. The CKC Blog will be an integral channel for achieving our mission to preserve and promote the art, craft, and scholarship of knitting, crochet, and related arts. It will feature guest bloggers who will share how knitting, crochet, and related arts have touched their lives and inspired them. It will also feature the efforts of our board, members, and others to promote the curation, preservation, and scholarship of these beloved fiber arts.

New posts will be published weekly beginning October 1st. We encourage our readers to comment and share their experiences. To be alerted of new posts please follow our Facebook page or Twitter feed.

The CKC welcomes Carol Milne, noted as the “lone pioneer in the field of knitted glass”, as our first guest blogger. The CKC board had the privilege of meeting Carol and seeing her amazing work first hand at Vogue Knitting Live last January.  To learn more about Carol Milne and her beautiful work visit her website http://www.carolmilne.com/  or her Facebook page.

The CKC welcomes all those interested in contributing to send your suggested blog title and a brief description to Nicole Scalessa, CKC Secretary at nscalessa@centerforknitandcrochet.org. Blog submissions will be reviewed and scheduled at least one month prior to publication and should be no more than 1600 words and include 1-3 images.
