CKC Digital Collections

The Center for Knit and Crochet Digital Repository is a developing resource for knitting and crochet designed to help individuals and cultural institutions around the globe – museums, galleries, libraries, archives and other public and private entities — share their knitted and crocheted treasures more effectively with each other, and with the public.

The mission of The Center for Knit and Crochet, Inc. (“CKC”) is to preserve and promote the art, craft, and scholarship of knitting, crochet, and related arts.  To achieve these goals, CKC is creating an online museum, study center, and social networking environment to serve our community and the general public.  The CKC exists entirely online and its resources and collections are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Without a physical facility, the CKC stays in touch with members and others through email and social media (FacebookTwitterInstagram, and Ravelry). A nine-member Board of Directors oversees and coordinates CKC’s activities.  Please visit our Membership page to join CKC, get involved, and support our work.
